Our Team

Sunil oversees COMCO and is responsible for overall performance of the company. He has deep strategic, operational and finance expertise in the Industrials, Natural Resources and Energy sector. Sunil is a former strategy and operations consulting partner at Deloitte. He has Bachelor of Electrical Engineer from National University of Singapore and MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business.

Jacques has over 20 years of experience in engineer consulting work, mainly obtained in the energy and mining industries, and most recently in industrial agriculture. His expertise is in process control, instrumentation, electrical and safety system disciplines, and his experience covers the concept, basic and detail design phases of the project lifecycle as well as construction and commissioning. Jacques’ experience in leading projects and teams serves him well in his current role as General Manager for the Comco group. He is responsible for the overall quality, safety, and performance of the business and projects.

Hannes has almost 30 years of extensive experience in consulting engineering, working both internationally and in Canada. This includes leading and executing control, automation, and electrical engineering scope of multi-discipline projects through all phases. His professional experience includes the design and implementation of control, automation and electrical systems for potash mining and processing, platinum converters and concentrators, non-ferrous furnaces, conventional control systems for a modular nuclear power plant, uranium, steel cold milling plants, and a steel induction furnace.

Brent has almost 20 years of experience largely in the industrial agriculture sector. He has designed, estimated, and managed projects from small on-farm systems to large material handling and processing facilities. His expertise is in process control and panel design and his experience covers design, purchasing, manufacturing, and commissioning of PLC Panels, Custom Motor Control Panels, and MCCs. Brent’s experience in panel design and procurement helps Comco achieve CSA-approved panels in a safe and efficient manner.

Vaunley’s 23 years of experience has encompassed financial accounting, information technology, project management, strategic business consulting, and control systems. He has worked with industry leaders in financial institutions, mining, municipal and provincial government, law enforcement, utilities, and most recently in industrial agriculture. Vaunley is an excellent facilitator and a strong conceptual thinker. In his current role, Vaunley uses his skills and experience to guide, direct, and support the Comco Software Team. He encourages personal excellence and drives the Team to successful projects.

Cheryl has worked for Comco for almost 25 years. With an educational background in Computer Information Systems and Business Management, she started with Comco as a programmer, which gave her firsthand experience with project development and installation of custom control systems. As the Director of Sales, Cheryl is involved in projects from conception, through the sales and design processes and into the installation and post installation support phases. Cheryl also takes a lead role in Business Development throughout North America and helps drive Comco’s marketing initiatives.

Carla brings almost 20 years of human resources experience to the team and is responsible for playing a pivotal role in shaping and fostering the organizational culture and managing all aspects of human resources at Comco Controls. She works closely with the leadership team to align Human Resources initiatives with business objectives and facilitates employee engagement and performance, development and career progress in alignment with our Vision and values.
